The pond
The park sits on its own stocked fishing pond, and Golden Pond is home to good-sized catfish. It's the kind of fishing you do in a lawn chair with supper already planned.

Getting here
We're at 102818 S 4462 Rd in Gore, Oklahoma, within five miles of I-40 and minutes from Lake Tenkiller. Trout fishing on the Illinois River is close by too, so the pond doesn't have to be the whole trip.
